Tracking my 2007 fantasy football picks

Much anticipated: Cowboys vs. Packers

Nov 29, 2007, 4:04pm | Posted by Steve

I'm really looking foward to tonight's Packers/Cowboys game, even though the greedy bastards at the NFL Network and Time-Warner Cable will force me to watch it on my small computer screen. This contest really determines which team is the head honcho in the NFC, and Dallas gets the nod from me. In a lot of ways this game feels like Brett Favre handing off the title of gunslinging quarterback winner to Tony Romo.

I don't usually like playing proposition bets, but I saw two tonight that look like very good value to me. Dallas has a good run defense, so I like my chances of getting the +145 payoff on my Marion Barber bet. Green Bay not only has banged-up linebackers, but they have trouble defending against tight end catches even when healthy, so I feel good about the odds of Jason Witten having a big night tonight.

ACTION: 11/29

Packers at Cowboys (-6.5)
PROP: Jason Witten (Over 5 receptions)
PROP: Marion Barber (-12.5 rushing yards) vs. Ryan Grant

9:07pm
All season long the Cowboys have been outstanding in the second half. I'll look to ride that train once again, betting on the Pokes to score at least a pair of touchdowns after the break.

11/29 Added play

Packers at Cowboys (team Over 14 2H)
