Tracking my 2007 fantasy football picks

Staying hot in the NFL

Oct 21, 2007, 7:36pm | Posted by Steve

It's amazing what different seasons I'm having in college and NFL. The first half of the season has been a struggle to pick college winners; thank goodness I've been on such a fantastic roll with the pros. That continued today, as I went 7-2. And the two losses I took were even misleading. One was a tiny bet on the Falcons moneyline (to go on top of my +9 pointspread main play on that team) and a third-quarter "ah, why not?" play on the Patriots.

I've got to just make sure I don't get too excited about NFL bets, and make myself continue to be disciplined there. The last thing I need is to start losing in the one area that's been a moneymaker for me. Luckily I don't have the same sort of passion for pro football that I do for the college game, so it's easier for me to stay a bit detached and bet only the plays I'm most confident about.
