That was kind of a tough way to lose a bet Friday, Connecticut winning on the strength of "the fair catch that wasn't." I really shouldn't complain, though, as Louisville really shouldn't have ever let the game get close. The Cardinals have to be the biggest disappointment of the 2007 season.

I've got a moderate-sized slate of games today. If I add anything else, it would likely be a second-half plays on games where the opportunities present themself.

It's been a tough season to handicap college football. I'm sub-.500 so far and I'm far from alone. Many other college bettors I talk with are having the same tough run. Let's hope the weirdness is over and I can get back to winning.

Texas spent the first half experimenting with the running game, played lazy defense and gave up points due to a freak play. The Horns lead 10-7 but probably should be up 20-0 or 27-0. Mack Brown's embarassed, so I look for him to try and pile on every point he can after the half. I absolutely love Texas -14 in the second half and I'm on it.

Kentucky's win at LSU cost them physically. They're beat up today and I look for Florida to really pull away in the second half. And the Texas Tech and Missouri offenses are like time bombs waiting to go off.
