My cash is on the Cards
There are a lot of differing opinions on the Lousiville/UConn game, but I placed one of my largest bets of the season so far on Louisville. UConn has put together a nice record, but the quality of their opponents has been uniformly low.
Even with the weak teams they've played, the Connecticut offense is 71st in the nation, compared with Louisville at No. 3. The Husky defense has been stout, but this'll be the first time they face a really balanced offense. I just don't believe they'll be able to hang with the Cardinals.
The only thing that would have made me feel differently would have been a lackluster performance from Louisville last week. But, in beating a good and scrappy Cincinnati team, it doesn't appear L'ville is going to roll over on the season, especially since last night's South Florida loss means a win over Connecticut would put the Cardinals directly in the thick of the Big East race.

"Home dog" bites again.
Re TX-Baylor: I always like dogs, especially home dogs, but I can't believe the line is only 25. I am not a Texas homer when it comes to lines, but I cannot believe the line is not in the 40s. Is someone really betting on Baylor today?

That's a very good rule of thumb in the NFL, the "home dog" thing. Not so much in college, though. Road favorites win and cover all the time there.
Texas really should have covered easily. It easily could have been 41-0 or so — it was that bizarre option gone wrong from the 1-yard line and the strange 4-yard punt that led to all the Baylor punts.
That's the kind of season it's been. Things have been so weird I wasn't even surprised when the wind knocked that punt down and it took a giant 30-yard leap backwards.
