Tracking my 2007 fantasy football picks

There ARE things to do other than bet on a football game

No bets at all for me on tonight's Utah/Louisville game. I'm taking the evening off to enjoy a bit of The Glenlivet and to read some of "The Girls" by Lori Lansens. It's a good book so far, and that sounds like a very nice evening to me.

Here are the games I have working for Saturday. I'm still looking at adding plays on the Hawaii/Utah State and Texas Tech/Iowa State games, but I won't do anything until the team totals are made available sometime tomorrow. If I place a bet on either or both of those contests I'll update the bet list below.

ACTION: 10/06

Arkansas St. (-2.5) at Louisiana-Monroe

Cincinnati at Rutgers (-3)

Iowa St. at Texas Tech (team Over 44.5)

Kansas at Kansas St. (-3)

Miami at North Carolina (Over 41)

Ohio St. (-7) at Purdue

TCU at Wyoming (-2.5)

Tulsa (-3) at UTEP

UAB (+19.5) at Mississippi St.

Wake Forest at Duke (+7.5)

Wisconsin at Illinois (-2.5)

By the way, good friend Ollie is bumming around Europe again and reporting back on what he gets into. He's always a fun read.

USC has started very, very slowly at home against lowly Stanford. I look for them to really pick up the pace in the second half, so I'm adding a pair of second-half plays — only at a half-unit each — on the Trojans. I like my chances to win them both.

10/06 Added plays

Stanford at USC (-19.5 2H)

Stanford at USC (Over 26 2H)

It's been another strange day of college football, but, unlike last week, I've done alright today. I've talked myself into making three plays on the late Hawaii game:

10/06 Added plays

Utah St. at Hawaii (-10 1Q)

Utah St. at Hawaii (-23 2H)

Utah St. at Hawaii (team Over 52.5)

Sunday, Oct. 7, 12:43am
Missed my first-quarter and first-half bets, but I'm taking on a second-half play.

10/06 Added play

Utah St. at Hawaii (Over 34 2H)
