West Virginia has looke terrible in the first half against Marshall, but I'm willing to bet adjustments are made at the half and the game doesn't turn into a repeat of last season's upset by South Florida. I'm doubling up on my Mountaineer bets with a halftime play.

Things worked out in that West Virginia/Marshall game far better than I had any right to hope for. Of the 4 bets I had working, 3 of them were winners, including the double-up wager I made at the half. A very late score from the Mountaineers backups made me a happy man.

It's time to take a little break for a haircut and a quick workout before the afternoon games I'm interested in begin.

I'm very impressed by the LSU defense, those guys in purple and goal sure make things tough on opposing offenses. I don't think it's out of the question that Virginia Tech gets blanked tonight, so I'm going to ride with LSU in the second half. A single touchdown from the Bayou Bengals may be enough.

One more play today. Wisconsin has been playing slopping out in Las Vegas, but they started to shake off their Sin City hangover in the second quarter. I expect they'll pull away after the half.

I lied earlier when I said I ws making only one more bet on the day. But this one will be my REAL final play. I'm buying back my wager on Colorado. I had originally taken them at +15.5, and they're trailing by only 5 at the half, but that's after the Buffs dominated the first quarter entirely. I took Arizona State at -9.5 for the second half, which means I'm guaranteed of breaking even on this game (minus some juice on the losing wager), but also have a chance at winning both ends if the Sun Devils outscore Colorado by 10 points.

It's been an up-and-down day of betting, so I mostly just want to take some money off the table. The small chance for a middle is just a bonus.
