It's nice to have Labor Day off and college football on TV. I'm starting with two plays on the Texas Tech/SMU game. I'd been leaning toward taking Tech and giving 8 or 9 points, but after more thought I like the Over 59.5 more. If Tech beats that pointspread I think it's also likely the total goes over. And if they don't, I doubt it's because the game was a defensive struggle. Whichever team wins, it'll be because of what they did on offense. Neither the Red Raiders or the Ponies are polished defensively.

As of now, I'm laying off the Florida State/Clemson game. I kind of look for the Seminoles to come out playing much better football than last season, but my confidence level in that isn't real high. Depending on how the first two quarters shake out, I may be doing some halftime betting on that game.
