A big day, a hot streak
Bowl season continues to be very good to me, as I went 4-0 on my plays yesterday, all double-unit bets. This makes me 15-4-1 in college football since the end of the regular season. I'm thinking positive and I'm being careful in my betting, because I want this roll to continue through the national championship game. If I can make that happen, I've promised my buddy Ollie that I'll buy his Golden Gate jumbo shrimp cocktails the next time we meet in Las Vegas.
12/29 ACTION
Kentucky (+7 1H) vs. Clemson, $53/$50
Kentucky (Over 24) vs. Clemson, $51.50/$50
Houston vs. South Carolina, Over 56, $55/$50
Minnesota vs. Texas Tech (-7), $59/$50
The Kentucky/Clemson game is particularly intriguing today. Both teams can score a lot, Kentucky isn't particularly interested in defense, and Clemson seems indifferent about the season coming to an end. At times I've been tempted to bet the Over 58, Kentucky +10 and Kentucky to win straight up. I talked myself out of all those, though, and I'm going only with a first-half and a team-total bet on KU. I think they'll score a fair amount of points and stick with Clemson before the half, but then the Tigers are likely to realize what's up and pull away in the third and fourth quarters.
I'm still looking at the Missouri/Oregon State and Purdue/Maryland bowls. As of now, here's how I'm leaning on those games:
12/29 Leans
Missouri vs. Oregon St. (-3.5)
Purdue vs. Maryland (+1)
If I decide to play those bowls, or make any additional wagers, I'll add the bets here.
ADDED BET - 12:55pm
Missouri vs. Oregon St. (-3), $60/$50

Here's a little lesson to remember from this season. When you've lost your bankroll, double it and double your base wager amount.

I think that's what all the books say to do.
