Tracking my 2007 fantasy football picks

Now we're bowling

Dec 28, 2006, 1:36pm | Posted by Steve

After a week of bowl games trickling in one at a time, we really get things going today with three of them. All should be good games — with the possible exception of one that could turn into a blowout, but that's far from certain — and I'm taking action on all three games, with all my bets going as double units.

12/28 ACTTION

Okla. St. (-.5 1H) vs. Alabama, $100/$101

Okla. St. (-1.5) vs. Alabama, $110/$100

Kansas St. vs. Rutgers, Over 44.5, $102/$100

Texas A&M vs. California (-3), $109/$100

I look for a lot of offense today, as I think Oklahoma State's Mike Gundy will try and light up the scoreboard early and Cal is capable of big numbers when their offense clicks (not to mention that they're playing in the Holiday Bowl, which is traditionally a high-scoring affair). The only iffy thing today is the Kansas State/Rutgers game. If Rutgers is in fine form and K-State plays as uninspired as they did in mid-season, the Scarlet Knights could turn the Texas Bowl into a boring rout. I don't expect that to happen, though, as beating Texas gave the Wildcats a sense of direction. They believe in themselves now and I think they'll hang with Rutgers. Wouldn't even surprise me much if Kansas State wins outright.
