Redneck High

It's been a decent week for me. Starting with a huge winning bet on the Chargers Sunday night, then with three winners (including a nice parlay) Monday, another winner Tuesday on pissant MAC football and a split Thanksgiving Day. I've got two bets working Friday, including one 2-unit bet. Here's what I've got:

Texas A&M at Texas (-12.5), $53.50/$50

Ohio (-3) at Miami Ohio, $100/$101

My winning bet today on the Cowboys was nice, and that team is really looking good these days. The change at quarterback seems to be just what they needed, and Tony Romo is playing fantastic. I'm likely to be betting them more for the rest of the season, especially since the swoon by the Giants and Eagles really give them something to play for, a conference championship.

5:30pm - ADDED PLAY: I had been watching the line on the Air Force/UNLV game, hoping it would drop below -11 for the Falcons. It finally did, and I'm on them. That's a lot of points for a team like Air Force to spot on the road, but UNLV is flat bad this season.

7:20pm - ADDED PLAY: I took another look at the late Fresno State/Louisiana Tech matchup and think it's worth risking a bet on Fresno. The LaTech defense is one of the worst in the nation and their offense if low-average at best, so I don't think it's any great shakes for Fresno to win by a pair of TDs.

7:50pm - ADDED PLAY: Air Force is involved in, of all things, a shootout in Las Vegas. I trust the military boys to make adjustments at the half to slow UNLV and pull away after intermission.

9:45pm - ADDED PLAY: Right about now I'm wishing I hadn't taken Fresno State giving the points, because neither team is showing much defense. But that makes me like the second-half Over a whole lot.
