Playing a parlay strategy
A couple of crappy teams play tonight, Miami (Ohio) going to Bowling Green in a battle of suckiness. I don't have a real feel for which team will win, but I do expect several turnovers leading to points on the board, making me like the Over 45 bet.
Because I like the Over, but feel it's a tossup on the teams, I'm using a dual-parlay strategy to try and maximize profits if that Over hits. The way it's done is that I made two separate parlay bets: One taking Bowling Green and the Over, the other taking Miami (Ohio) and the Over. That way I'll get a larger profit if the teams score more than 45 points than I would with a plain bet.
11/15 ACTION
Parlay: Miami Ohio (+4) at Bowl. Green & Over 45, $7.26/$20.46
Parlay: Miami Ohio at Bowl. Green (-4) & Over 45, $7.26/$20.46
The downside to this, of course, is that I lose twice if the total is less than 45. I'm making tiny bets, just to explore the strategy, so it wouldn't cause any real harm no matter what.
