Need to regain my discipline
It seems I've slipped into something of a cold streak again, losing 19 of the last 30 bets I've placed. This is again largely because of undisciplined betting. One lesson I keep being taught over and over is that a person can bet for fun or bet to try and make money, but it's almost impossible to do both at the same time. My problem is that I have too much fun betting, and that leads to make too many wagers and to play games I really don't have a strong feel for, betting just to have action.
So I'll try and snap myself back into a controlled mode this weekend, making considerably fewer bets, but for larger amounts. I've got six bets already placed — you can see them already listed — and I'm likely just about done. Instead of my base bet of $30, all these plays are for $50.
11/11 ACTION
Baylor at Oklahoma State (-15.5)
Loisiana Tech at Hawaii, Over 75
Purdue (+3) at Illinois
Rice at Tulsa (-14)
Texas (-17) at Kansas State
Texas Tech at Oklahoma (-9)
I'm looking to add a first-half bet on the Louisiana Tech-Hawaii game (Hawaii playing at home has been first-half money in the bank this season) and possibly one other play. Otherwise, what you see already is all I'll play this Saturday.
It would be fun to have money on Thursday's Louisville/Rutgers game, but that would be a case of betting just for the sake of betting. I think Louisville will win, but I'm not so confident that I should risk my cash. Any of those Big East teams are beatable if an opponent plays any sort of defense.
