Tracking my 2007 fantasy football picks

A nice Saturday; Plays for 10/29

8:45pm - ADDED BET: Last bet of the day will be a second-half play on Rutgers. Got 'em at -7.5 for the half.

10/29 ADDED ACTION

Connecticut at Rutgers (-7.5 2H) - 1/2 unit

7:45pm - ADDED BET: Adding a second-quarter bet on Rutgers. If they hold UConn on this first drive of the period, I shoule win it.

10/29 ADDED ACTION

Connecticut at Rutgers (-5.5 2Q) - 1/2 unit

3:45pm - ADDED BET: The line on tonight's UConn/Rutgers game has dropped to a point where it's now attractive to bet on Rutgers. Som I'm on the Scarlet Knights, giving 19.5 points.

10/29 ADDED ACTION

Connecticut at Rutgers (-19.5)

1:45pm - ADDED BET: My first-half bet on the 49ers/Bears game was maybe the easiest winner I've ever had. I KNEW I should have bet that one bigger. I'm taking half my winnings and rolling it onto a second-half play on the Over 16.5. Figure the Bears will score two more touchdowns, even if they do call off the dogs. The real question is whether San Francisco can even manage a field goal.

I'm also tacking on a couple of underdogs — one on the road, the other at home — for the afternoon games.

10/29 ADDED ACTION

49ers at Bears, Over 16.5 2H - 1/2 unit

Jets (+1) at Browns

Steelers at Raiders (+9)

It was a nice day yesterday. The games yesterday were fun ones to watch and turned a little profit on the day. Of course I could have made a much nicer profit had I not overestimated how the Longhorns would roll after halftime (I figured they'd score 4 touchdowns by themselves, so I bet the second-half Over for a double unit, which lost). Still, I'll never complain about a profit.

I had far too many bets throughout the course of the day for me to want to list all the outcomes here, but those interested can take a look on the records page.

I'm on a handful of NFL games today, including one first-half play on the 49ers/Bears game. I feel particularly good about this one, as the Niners are both a very slow-starting team and one that's terrible on the road. I sort of wish I had put more than a single unit on the game.

10/29 ACTION

49ers at Bears (-10 1H)

Cardinals (+4) at Packers

Colts (+3) at Broncos

Falcons at Bengals (-4)

Seahawks (+5) at Chiefs

It's possible I'll add one or two of the afternoon games, depending on how the early part of the day shakes out. And I'm considering playing tonight's college game, leaning toward UConn covering 20 points against Rutgers. If I make any more bets, I'll add to this entry.

Found money update

By the way, the parlay I placed with the $10 I found in an old account was a winner. Both Oklahoma and BYU covered, so now I've got about $37 sitting there. I think I'll wait until the next time I find a couple of games I feel highly confident about, then I'll roll that into another parlay bet.
