Gregg's dogs of the week
[Note from Steve: I've asked my friend Gregg the Contrarian, lover of underdogs, to contribute a few all-dog picks each week. And so here is his entry…]
Here are my dogs for this weekend:
Clemson at VIRGINIA TECH (+4.5) - Thursday
Clemson is good but so is Va Tech. I can't believe the Hokies should give up points, at home, at night, against a team from South Carolina.
Oklahoma (+1.5) at Missouri
No way! One-loss* OU is giving up points to Missouri? I would bet my house on OU winning this game.
(* The OU-Oregon game was obviously officiated by the same guys who did the 1972 Olympic basketball finals.)
Texas A&M at Baylor (+5)
Each team has a 50-50 chance of winning this game. Give me the points. A moneyline bet on the Bears might be even better.
Iowa State (+5) at Kansas State
I hate taking road dogs, but Kansas State has reverted to the K-State of the '70s and '80s. Iowa State is going to win this game.
