Betting against Team Thursday Night

Oct 26, 2006, 11:55am | Posted by Steve

Virginia Tech owes much of it's national recognition to the exposure it's gotten over the last several years by playing the Thursday night games and winning them impressively. I'm betting that won't happen tonight, even though the Hokies are at home. I think Clemson is clearly the better team all-around, so it's the Tigers I'm putting my money on.

ACTION

10/26 Clemson (-4.5) at Virginia Tech

This weekend should be fun, as I've already got two double-sized bets made for Saturday.

9:30pm - ADDED BET: Clemson has been terrible tonight, so I'm trying to cover my bet on them with a 4th-quarter play on Virginia Tech. I got them at a Pick 'em for the final quarter. There's something of a risk, as the Hokies will likely try and run the clock out while Clemson starts to bomb away, but Clemson has looked nothing but AWFUL. I like my chances of salvaging the night.

I really knew nothing of these two teams except for their reputations. (And Mr. Beamer's Va Tech team has a very good reputation.) Clemson did not look like a Top 10 team last night.

  2. Steve says:

Clemson looked TERRIBLE last night. Not only did they not look like a Top 10 team, they didn't look like even one of the 10 best in the ACC.
