2 yards shy of a 10-0 weekend
After a first half that ended with a 6-3 score, I really had no business even hoping to win my Over 42 bet in the Texans/Cowboys game, but, with only a handful of seconds to play, there I was with a real chance at hitting the bet. Dallas was leading 34-6, and the Texans were on the Cowboys' 8-yard-line with 10 seconds to play, trying for a dignity touchdown.
I'm sure only me and anybody else who had bet the Over were mentally trying to talk the Texans into hitting an easy field goal, but they went for the TD. And almost, but not quite, got it. Their receiver was brought down on the 2-yard-line, and time ran out.
10/15 RESULT
Texans at Cowboys, Over 42 - Loss, $36.90
(For final score, see the season record page.)
So close, but to be pissed at a 9-1 run, instead of a 10-0 one, would be silly and greedy. I'm very happy with the way the last few days have worked out. I'll continue being very picky with my bets for the rest of the season.
No bets on the afternoon NFL games, with the possible exception of a 2nd-half bet on the Chargers/49ers game, depending on how the first half looks. If I play something there, I'll post immediately. I don't think it's likely I'll put any more money down until college games start up again.

Chargers looking good. I'm going to be tempted to take them on the road against the Chiefs this weekend.
