You know, I think Texas covers that 48-point Over by themselves.

Mizzou's not that bad. They're being way overrated and overhyped across the country right now -- I don't think they'll even win the Big 12 North -- but they're good enough to beat A&M (and their head coach Dennis Franchionovic). Whether they have the consistency to do it this week, I don't know. That's why I laid off that game.

For today, my contra-Steve, love-the-dog strategy makes me take:

Washington State + 8 against Cal.

I'm OK with that but I sure don't like...

Kansas State + 8.5 against Nebraska. Rules are rules, though, so I'm stuck cheering for a terrible Ks St team.

You can go ahead and start spending your winnings on the "over 48" on Texas-Baylor. What a no-brainer.

If I were gambling today, my two dogs to cheer on would be:

Syracuse + 25 against West Virginia. W. Va is terribly overrated and Syracuse is improving.

Tx A&M + 2 against Missouri. How can 5-1 A&M give up points to a team that has been a joke for decades? At home! Mo's only "quality win" was against a Texas Tech team that failed to score a touchdown against a TCU team with two losses.
