Tracking my 2007 fantasy football picks

Reloaded

Oct 10, 2006, 8:25pm | Posted by Steve

After burning through most of my cash in an absolutely terrible 10-day period — terrible both in terms of the breaks I was getting and the bets I was making — I reloaded my accounts with an additional $500. I had told myself before the season I would allow myself to do that once if I needed, but only once. So the bankroll I have now is all I'm going to play with for the remainder of the season, win or lose.

What this means is that I'm going to have to go back to being much more serious and selective about the bets I make, no more playing a whole bunch of games I'm not sure about just for fun. (And believe me, it really is a lot of fun. Maybe some day I'll be wealthy enough to do that and not care about the profits or loss.)

So, you'll likely see fewer picks from me each week, but the games I do play will be the ones I'm most confident about. Some weeks that'll be more than others.

I've already placed a few bets this week, and I may make a few more. Don't know how many, and might not even make any. Either way, I'll keep things updated here.

See the Glossary/FAQ page for definitions of terms and numbers.
