A .500 day, 4 losses and 4 wins. One of my wins came on a whale of a comeback from Notre Dame, but count me as officially off my short-lived ride on the Irish bandwagon. That team is soft. I expect they'll lose at least once more this season, and it wouldn't surprise me to see them fall two or three more times.

My belief that West Virginia severely lacks the will the really put an opponent away was confirmed today, twice. East Carolina was playing a tough game, but the Mountaineers had an excellent chance to score a touchdown late in the second quarter, to go into the half up 14 points. Instead, they got sloppy and threw an interception in the end zone… costing me my first-half bet. In the fourth quarter they had a nice drive going, but lost their aggression in East Carolina territory and had to settle for a field goal instead of a touchdown… which cost me my second-half bet.

West Virginia is a very good team, but their lack of a killer instinct is going to cost them at some point in the season.

Sunday NFL: Will play IF…

I'm heading up to East Texas Sunday to help my neice celebrate her second birthday, so I won't be around to post. I plan on checking the lines just before I leave, though, to see if can get the following lines on either or both of these games.

Giants at Seattle (-3)

Bears (-3) at Vikings

Both of the teams I like are currently favored by 3.5. If I can get that extra half-point, I'll make the play.
