Tracking my 2007 fantasy football picks

A bet placed very early

Sep 18, 2006, 2:17pm | Posted by Steve

I'm very suspect of the Iowa State defense against a good team — the Cyclones allowed about 50 percent more yardage against Iowa than against their two previous, weaker opponents — and Texas is still wanting to score boatloads in hopes of wiggling back into the national championship picture. Couple that with a Texas defense back to full strength, and it looks like a blowout coming.

The bottom line is that I asked myself if I felt Texas would score at least 40 against Iowa State — and I believe the Longhorns will. If that happens, UT should easily win by more than the three-touchdown spread.

ACTION

9/23 Iowa State at Texas (-21)

I moved fast to get this line, but I still had to pay more juice than normal (-117, instead of the typical -110). The line is steadily climbing, and I expect it will be at around -24 by gameday.
