Rough day. Two bets lost in overtime, a bet I was on the verge of making, but didn't, panned out, and Texas played their poorest game in several seasons. Thank goodness I didn't have any money on the Horns, or the day would have felt even worse. As it was, wins from Georgia and Oregon, and Pitt's last-second TD Friday night to hit the Over, saved this from being a disaster.

Funny thing, though, both overtime games could have went the other direction, and it would have been a nicely profitable day. Ah, well, that's it's called gambling.

9/9 RESULTS

Oregon (-4) at Fresno State - Win, $21/$20

Texas Tech (-7) at UTEP - Loss, $44

Georgia (-3) at South Carolina - Win, $20/$20.20

Clemson (-2.5) at Boston College - Loss, $21

Buffalo at Bowling Green (-13.5, 1H) - Loss, $21

Finally a winning bet on the day. Georgia blanked South Carolina and generated some positive cashflow for the first time Saturday.

On another note, Texas is playing a terrible, terrible game tonight. Worst I've seen from them in several years. Bad play-calling, dropping passes, sloppy play on offense and especially defense. I didn't put any money on this matchup, but I hate to see the Longhorns look so outclassed after winning the national championship.

After winning Friday night's bet on a trash-time interception returned for a touchdown, my first two plays decided on Saturday have been tough ones. Clemson missed an overtime exta-point to give Boston College the win in that game, and Bowling Green let a terrible Buffalo team play with them all game, losing my first-half bet in that game.

What's worse, I made the Bowling Green bet after talking myself out of betting Ohio — a 15-point underdog — at Northern Illinois. That turned out to be a bad decision, as Ohio ended up winning the game outright.

I've still got three plays pending, one a two-unit bet, so the day can still turn around. The first two decisions have been losses, though.
