Starting in a nice way
I wish all weeks would shake out the way this first one of the college season did for me. A 5-1-0 start certainly makes for a pleasant Sunday night. TCU never did get its offense going the way I expected them to, and I was a little worried about a stupid backdoor cover in the last minute of that game, but the Frogs held off Baylor and that last bet of the weekend went my way.
9/3 RESULT
TCU (-6.5) at Baylor - W $22/$20
No action for me on Monday's Florida State/Miami game, but it should be a good one to watch.
I see that Texas is an early 2-point favorite against Ohio State this Saturday. There's no way I'm touching that game with any kind of bet, but I'm really looking foward to it. Colt McCoy looked pretty good in his first start at quarterback for the Horns. If he can just play a solid game — he doesn't need to be spectacular — it should be a fantastic game. Both teams have loads of talent.
I'll start really looking through the lines Monday and Tuesday, and I'll post anything that catches my eye. Not likely I'll place any bets until Wednesday or later, though.
