Leaning, leaning hard
One of the Thursday night lines keeps catching my eye. This one:
UTEP (+1.5) at San Diego State
Even though the game is in San Diego, I'm surprised SDSU is a favorite at all. The team's first game under a new coach, and not a whole lot of talent on the team to begin with. UTEP could be fairly decent this season — I'm figuring them for 7-5, maybe 8-4 — and Jordan Palmer, while not as good as big brother Carson, is a better-than-average college QB with some pro prospects.
Not a bet yet, but I'm sure leaning hard.

No, but I drew a hard 7 at the blackjack table and had to stand. You know, according to the book …
