Action
The game's not until Sunday, but this line is just too tempting for me to pass up. So I'm getting my first action of the season.
BET
9/3: TCU (-6.5) at Baylor, $22/$20
Either Baylor is getting far too much credit from hopeful bettors, or people think TCU is way overrated. Myself, I don't think it's out of the question for the Frogs to nail an undefeated regular season, or finish with only one loss. And that loss won't come to Baylor.
I think TCU wins this by a couple of touchdowns, maybe 17 points.
One thing NOT to worry about is any home-field advantage for Baylor. Waco is only about an hour and a half away from Fort Worth and TCU fans are excited about their team. They'll make the drive down I-35. Plus, it's a Sunday. The Baptists will be in church. I expect there will be as much purple in the stands as green.
Note: For those not familiar with placing football bets, the $22/$20 above means I have bet $22 in hopes of winning $20 — a total of $42 would be returned if the bet wins. The $2 difference is the book's cut, called the "juice."
